CHICAGO, May 14, 2019 — NowPow, a referral platform that gives everyone access to the social and community resources needed to support whole person care, has named Cathryn DeGraff Crookston, RN, BSN, as head of sales. Cathryn joins NowPow after 14 years with Emmi Solutions (Wolters Kluwer).
Cathryn worked as a nurse in clinical settings for several years before joining Emmi Solutions in 2005. While with Emmi Solutions and Wolters Kluwer, she built her skills in customer service, clinical sales support, and sales leadership. She also helped to pioneer and validate the concept that engaging patients leads to better outcomes, improved patient experience, and lower cost of care.
“Cathryn is a passionate healthcare technology professional who brings nearly 15 years of experience in new business development and sales leadership to NowPow,” said Rachel Kohler, CEO, NowPow. “Her nursing background also gives her first-hand knowledge of the challenges providers grapple with every day, which makes her a trusted advisor in the healthcare space.”
Cathryn’s main focus will be to continue NowPow’s trajectory of rapid growth.

Cathryn has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Purdue University, and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and the Society of Participatory Medicine.
